On August 30th, our little Lily was rushed to the hospital following complications from an E. Coli infection. Her kidneys had stopped functioning, and the doctors needed to put her on immediate 24-hour dialysis. We are so grateful that she is going to recover, although the long-term affects to her kidneys are yet to be determined. For now, she remains in the ICU and has recently been transferred to dialysis in shorter, three to five hour increments. The ordeal has been incredibly difficult on Josh and Haleigh. Indeed, waiting has been one of the toughest things to endure. Lily's improvements have been modest, but she is getting a little better each day. We are hoping this site will serve as a platform to keep folks updated on her progress, and as an avenue for friends and loved ones to send Josh, Haleigh, Lily, and Landon your support, love, and well-wishes.
