Benjamin Behr Lil Mighty Man

Our son Benjamin was born at 33 weeks 5/7 days gestation via an urgent c section 7 weeks early. We now know that it was due to a blood clot that had formed in his umbilical cord which is something that cannot be seen on an ultra sound or be discovered medically until after birth and although the doctors did not know at the time what the cause of his distress in the womb was they still made the decision to bring Benjamin out and it turned out to be just in time in order for him to sustain life. When he came out of the womb it took them 10 minutes to resuscitate our son and although he still remains in a Newborn Intensive Care Unit at 13 days of life he has made great improvements from the moment he came into this world. He is now off of all breathing equipment, has had two MRI's of his brain that came back as normal for his gestational age as a preemie......
