Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We've created it to keep friends and family updated about our Lillybug.

April 2017 Update -
It seems Lillybug's aorta just isn't where it should be in size.  Where we thought it was time for a stent, the doctors say our girl will have to undergo open heart surgery next month (after school is out) to insert a synthetic patch to make her aorta larger.  We will continue to provide updates here.  Prayers are much appreciated!

April 2011 -
Lilly saw a pediatric cardiologist from Cardinal Glennon today (April 28).  He diagnosed Lilly with coarctation (co-ark-ta-shun) of the aorta. This is a tight narrowing of the aorta which makes the main pumping chamber of the heart work harder, enlarging the heart.  It also raises blood pressure in the head and arms, and lowers the blood pressure in the legs and trunk.

Shelley, Jason and Lilly will head to Cardinal Glennon early in the morning for more testing and to determine the next step.

Please pray for Lilly, Shelley and Jason and for the doctors and nurses who will be treating our Lilly girl.
