Welcome to Lilli's CaringBridge Site.  We have set this page up to keep friends and family updated on Lilli's journey!  Lilli and her family so appreciate your support, prayers and words of encouragement!

After several weeks of abdominal and back pain, several tests that were negative, Lilli had a CT scan on Friday, February 26 that showed she had a lesion on her pancreas. That afternoon her son Henry, who is a physician in Houston, began making phone calls in Houston in hopes of getting Lilli an appointment in Houston the following week.  He flew home for the weekend, talked to doctors and was able to get Lilli and appointment with an Gastroenterologist in Houston for Monday morning.  Lilli and Carson flew back with Henry Sunday evening.  Tuesday, March 1, she had an endoscopic ultrasound which revealed the lesion was in fact Pancreatic cancer. It also showed that there was some surrounding tissue involved in the tumor making it borderline resectable. A PET scan on Wednesday showed the cancer had NOT metastasized!!! This is great news!! Now the hope and prayer is that Chemo and radiation will reduce the tumor so it can be removed surgically.  Lilli is having a stent placed in her bile duct today and a port placed sometime Friday for the Chemo. She is planning on staying in Houston for her treatment which will last for 2-3 months. 
It is amazing to see God's hand in this journey.  There is no way all of these things could have been scheduled more carefully or perfectly than by anyone but HIM!!!
