On Sunday September 29th Lillian was involved in a hit and run accident while riding her bicycle home from a friend's house. She sustained life threatening injuries including a traumatic brain injury (TBI) called diffuse axonal injury (DAI) and is in a coma. Her neurologist did an EEG and between those results and his physical examination we were able to unanimously make the decision to arrange long term care and give her as much time as she needs to heal. We are told that this will take many months or years. We are very hopeful that our beautiful girl will come back to us no matter how long it takes.
