The day after her seventh birthday, Lila was diagnosed with alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma, which is a rare cancer that affects the soft tissue. Two weeks ago, a sudden growth appeared on her sweet little hand. After many doctor visits and tests, the news came that no parent wants to hear. We want to thank the doctors, especially Greg's cousin Dr. John Sanders, for helping us navigate the initial scary process of a pediatric cancer diagnosis. As we continue to pray for Lila's doctors and nurses, we want to be an active part of Lila's journey. It will not be an easy road, but we will face cancer alongside Lila.
We will use CaringBridge to stay connected, share up dates, provide emotional support, volunteer needs for meals/tasks, send well wishes, and invite others to help Lila and her family.
