Well, as you all know Toni was home for the past couple weeks. The good news is, she got clearance from her Neurologist to go back on the ship. The bad news, we got that clearance 2 days before her biopsy (which was requested by a different doctor) on an "abnormality" in her neck. Needless to say, Sept. 27th, I heard the words no mother ever wants to hear... Thyroid Cancer Stage 4??? Really??? How, When??? I felt like someone stabbed me in the heart, but I had to stay upright, and be strong, for our 22 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER!!! We figured out real quick, we can't do this by ourselves. This is bigger then us, mentally, and physically. It's been an emotional couple days, and I'm sure more hard days are ahead. Right now, we need you to help us find the "Light in this Storm".
