We returned to Canada, one year ago. after many years of living in the jungles of Costa Rica.
Lidka, my beautiful and loving wife, was walking a friend's dog fell on ice, broke her hip, and went through hip replacement surgery in November 2019, She was doing great by July 2020, and enjoyed a lovely summer, In September her overall stamina start to be in question,
In October 2020 a massive tumor was removed from her colon., diagnosed with Stage 3 Colorectal Cancer. The operation was successful, and there was limited spreading of cancer. We were encouraged that select chemotherapy would solve further issues. but everything became more complicated.
A few weeks ago, the oncologist team, regretted to inform us that she has now been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. progressed to a stage that has left Lidka with severely low white blood cell count (WBC) and depleted blood platelets.
