On February 25th, Mom - Savannah was admitted to St. Cloud hospital for preterm contractions. That weekend mom was informed that she had polyhydramnios, which is excessive amounts of amniotic fluid. She had an ultrasound to see what was happening with baby. They found that there was a blockage in baby's intestines.

Tuesday, March 1st, mom started having more contractions. At this point St. Cloud sent us down to the mother baby center at Children's hospital Minneapolis.
Lydia Mae Rowland 'Liddy' was born 33 weeks premature on March 1st at 11:48pm. She was able to breathe room air right away.

Monday, March 7th, Liddy had surgery and we found out that she had 5 blockages, a micro colon, and malrotation of the intestines. In surgery they also put in a colostomy due to her micro colon.

Two weeks after her surgery they found that there was inflammation in her intestines causing another blockage. Liddy was put on 3 weeks of abdominal rest.

Wednesday, April 13th, Liddy's surgeon talked to mom about her upper GI study that she had the day prior. The inflammation did come down but the area is now very narrow only allowing small amounts through. She has started feeds of 2ml per hour in hopes this will help the area grow.
