Licia Gliptis Licia's pesky brain tumor

First post: Dec 4, 2013 Latest post: Jul 3, 2018
I have resurrected this Caring Bridge Site to keep friends and family updated as I prepare to have my pesky regrown Astrocytoma brain tumors removed.

I'm lucky to have the surgery with Dr. Timothy Smith at Brigham Women's hospital with Dana Farber support in Boston, MA on September 27, 2017.

I hope to return home by October 10 to continue my recovery.

Complicated to have surgery in Boston? Sure. Necessary? I believe so. My team is fantastic and they are going to remove the tumors and protect my much
valued language skills. Awake surgery will be a new experience for me!

We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most. - please take a few minutes to get signed up to hear how the process is going. It will be very hard to keep everyone in the loop and I encourage you to sign up to be notified when a new post is shared.
Josh and Lauren are going to be posting for me as well- I can't tell you how much I love them both!
