Hi and  welcome to my Caring Bridge site.   This is the place to find updates on how I'm doing and also to leave me messages.    A few friends will be doing updates, and they'll be reading messages from you to me.    You need to register for this site if you haven't already.   Be sure to click where it allows you to receive email notifications when there's an update - that way you won't have to check all the time, and there's no concern for spamming. 

So.   While I was visiting Texas, I found out that my heart disease has advanced a great deal.   To put it as nicely as possible, my prognosis ain't so hot.    But this is not shocking news to me and shouldn't be to most of you.   My body has taken a real beating for a long time, so I'm just grateful to have been here on Planet Earth this long, and to have so many loving and great friends - and so many happy memories to smile and laugh about!   I hope to be around to continue to cause more trouble for a while to come... :) 

I am currently in Fort Worth but may be in Arlington or Dallas for awhile.   I am not well enough right now to have visitors, but when I am, my "co-authors" will update this site and let you know - there are so many faces I can't wait to see at my door!   

I'm sorry I can't answer your emails at this time.  If you write me a private email or FB posts, I'm not likely to see them until the new year - so send any messages you have for me here, please :)
If you really want me to feel better, send me any news about YOU, and nothing political.  :)  

I am grateful for every one of you and I love you all very much.  
I hope to be back to telling bad jokes asap.  :)
