This is For the Love of Liana. Our beautiful, spunky 13 year old girl was initially diagnosed with AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia) in November 2020. She underwent 4 rounds of chemo and finished treatment in May 2021 and was in remission. On July 26, 2021, bloodwork showed that the cancer relapsed. She went through 2 more rounds of chemo, but the cancer persisted. The oncology team ran out of options. We tried integrative care, and every sort of physical, energetic and spiritual healing modality we could find. She passed away at home on December 16, 2021, in her backyard, surrounded by family and friends. You'll find more details of her story, and ours, in the journal entries.
