Levi Aston Boals was born on November 10, 2018 to two loving parents and instantly became a built-in best friend to his older brother Addison. From the moment Levi was born, Levi’s calm and happy demeanor has brought smiles to everyone he meets. His bright blue eyes and curly blonde hair radiate sweetness to those around him. Until recently, he has spent most of his high energy being his big brother’s sidekick, playing Beyblades, watching Blippi, building forts and doing what boys do.
Life came to a screeching halt for the Boals family on Saturday, July 31, 2021 when Levi was admitted to Nationwide Children’s Hospital with a kidney mass. After further testing, Levi was diagnosed with diffuse anaplastic Wilms tumor. Wilms tumor is the fourth most common type of childhood cancer and the most common type of kidney cancer in children. Due to the nature of his cancer, Levi has a long road ahead. He is expected to have 42+ weeks of treatment including chemotherapy, surgery, radiation and more chemotherapy.
