Leslie Hunt Ready For The Fight

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We never expected we would be initiating a site on CaringBridge, but here we are. Les’ journey started over a year ago with stomach pain, weakness, anemia and blackouts. He has been under the VA medical care and tests have been ongoing but it wasn’t until Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at our first appointment with his new specialist Dr. Kazi that we learned the symptoms were more serious than we thought. An upper endoscopy and colonoscopy was ordered for September 25th. The initial unofficial report following the procedures is a large tumor mass was found in his lower intestine. A biopsy was sent to the lab. Additionally, a CT Scan was done September 27th. So really, our story is just beginning as we have a long road of recovery, probable surgery that will need to be done, and unknown treatments ahead. We are thankful it is a road we will not walk alone. We have the Lord watching over us first, and many, many friends and family who are coming to walk it with us.
