Biopsy was March 22 and Dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer. Remaining sample was sent for genetic testing.
The genetic testing found 60% genetic markers, which was enough to start the targeted immunotherapy infusion or Keytruda. Dad started the Keytruda with first infusion 4/19/19. This needed to be done every 3 weeks. October 4th we were told the Keytruda had stopped working and the cancer had spread.
