On July 19 I am having surgery (Whipple procedure) at the University of Minnesota hospital for growths on my pancreas. The surgery will last several hours and I will need to be hospitalized about a week and then will recover at home for about 4-6 weeks (not bed-ridden, just taking it easy.)

My primary caregiver during this time will be my fiance, Susan. Rather than trying to communicate with each of you via e-mail, text or phone calls, either I or Susan will post my progress here at this Caring Bridge site.

Hopefully things will go smoothly and I will be my old self (minus a few pieces) and Susan and I can live a long, happy life together.
