On January 15 after a urgent care visit and a subsequent flight to UCSF, Leif, the dear firstborn of my my sister and brother-in-law, has been diagnosed with acute T-cell leukemia. Leif will be six in March, and is a delightful, inquisitive child. His parents, family and friends are all still in shock at the news. We are trusting in our Lord for his gracious care of Leif and to provide wisdom to the doctors at UCSF as they proceed with treatment.
The Borgesons are stretched thin at the moment. They just welcomed their third child, another boy, on the last day of 2018. Sara is home with their two youngest while Joe is down at UCSF with Leif. They have a long road ahead of them, with many visits and long trips south to San Francisco. We have created this GoFundMe for them to help them with the costs of travel and other immediate needs during this time as their dear son fights cancer.
