This is a campaign to raise funds to provide living and healthcare expenses for Lee Strauss, a kind and dear brother, uncle, and friend. Lee has fallen on difficult times and is living below subsistence in Jamaica. He moved to the island in 2013 to create a childrens' theater group and devote himself to volunteer work with a variety of Jamaican social service organizations. Ever the idealist, Lee remained in Jamaica despite constant difficulty making ends meet. His financial and ongoing health issues have reached a critical stage. We are doing all we can to help financially and arrange for Lee's safe, secure transport back to the U.S. We are also seeing to it that he receives immediate, necessary medical care. Lee would never ask for your help, but he is in no position to refuse the loving support of his extended family and friends.
