Lee Hux

Welcome to our CaringBridge website created to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. This site is co-authored by Lee's friends from Rocky Mount.  Lee was diagnosed with  stage III invasive ductal breast cancer.  The cancer is ER/PR+, HER2-.  The prognosis is very good and her team at UNC is very positive that she will do well with treatment. She has selected one of the absolute best Oncologists in the country at UNC, Dr Claire Dees.  Lee begins chemotherapy on Wednesday, April 21, 2020. Right now her treatment plan is  chemotherapy  every two weeks for 4 rounds and then once a  week for 12 weeks.  Lee will complete her chemotherapy where she lives in Nags Head followed closely and directed by Dr. Dees.  After chemo she will undergo surgery at UNC.  
Lee has an extremely positive attitude which will serve her well through this journey.  Let's keep her laughing, in good spirits and support her through this.  Please feel free to leave notes and encouragement for Lee .
