Laveta Hanson

Mom is our hero. She raised three children, many of those years on her own. She overcame incredible odds, providing for us kids sacrificially. She was a Wisconsin and California public-school teacher for decades. She taught in maximum security in juvenile hall (and loved her students!). It’s our turn to care for her. The roles are reversed. The dementia has made her more and more childlike.
