I'm a healthy living person and although I have a sister with the similar diagnosis, I thought this could never happen to me. I am the poster child of good health and two time Ironman finisher, but cancer doesn't care. Optimistic that I will be able to apply the same fight and determination and get cancer free. DX: Invasive ductal carcinoma of left breast on July 21, stage IIB. Triple negative receptors. Discovered lumps myself, as they were painful, while I was on vacation in Vancouver before my bucket list vacation to Alaska. Went to the doctor when I got back, then endured three weeks of diagnostics tests and now getting treatment.
