August 31, 2017 I was diagnosed with stage 2 invasive ductal carcinoma breast cancer. My doctor was confident this was 100% curable with chemotherapy treatments, breast surgery and radiation. I went through many of tests to include chest x-ray, bone scans, multitude of blood work, echocardiogram, and CT scan. I started my chemo treatments o 9/22/2017. When the results od the CT scan were received, the doctor saw some "shadowing" in my chest but was not overly concerned. But to be sure and leave no stones unturned, he ordered a PET scan of my whole body. That scan showed a small cancer cell on my chest wall which now has changed my staging to Stage 4 breast cancer. The doctor is optimistic this cell will be killed with my chemo treatments but I am terrified. Everyone reacts to treatments differently but the bottom line is stage 4 is not curable. I am praying God will see me through this and allow me to beat statistics and be cured! I REFUSE to give up this fight!
