Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. 
Lauren has always had an underbite.  When she was little,  it was so cute and she had this amazing ability to make people laugh and be happy.  She was never happy of the way her smile was though.   We started treatment when she was 7 and they said she was too young for braces and she would continue to grow which would cause her jaw to continue to grow at a faster rate than her upper jaw. They gave her an expander to widen the upper jaw and then head gear and then retainers.... none which worked. A year ago in October she finally got the go-ahead for braces and she literally cried with joy! Finally,  she could see the light at the end of the tunnel. We proceeded down the path of jaw surgery to correct her bite for good and here we are.
