Lauren was at the Christmas Tree Lighting in downtown Lewisville on Saturday evening with some friends.  She went to cross the street on foot and was struck by a oncoming pickup going about 25-30 mph.  The driver did stop and render aid, and her friend got her an ambulance right away.  There was an off duty paramedic nearby and he stopped to assist immediately.  She was taken to Medical City Denton, a Trauma II hospital.

We have been in ICU since that evening on November 18th at about 6:30pm, she has a fractured skull at the base of the skull and a brain bleed, causing tremendous pressure on her head and neck.  The bleeding has stopped, but still there are many things they do to help the brain recover.  I'm starting this website so there is one place to update all of the family and friends.  Please understand my first priority is her health and well being, I know everyone wants to know what is going on and it's a daily process to update everyone.  I will post as often as possible to keep everyone updated.  Thank everyone for your love, support, and gifts.
