Laura Turnquist Laura's New Heart!

Just two days before the 4th of July, our family received devastating, terrifying news: our mom needs a heart transplant as soon as possible. Although she's had long-term cardiac complications, it came as a shock to us that she needs a transplant immediately due to her rapidly declining heart function. 

Although this was extremely scary & unexpected news, please don't misunderstand that we feel truly grateful and eternally blessed for many things. We are thankful:

***Most importantly, that our mom is eligible for a heart. Because of this, we are able to spend 20+ more years with her.
***That someone who tragically will lose their life will be able to give more to our mom.
***To have family and friends that support our mom through one of the (if not THE) scariest seasons of her life.
***For the incredibly talented doctors at Mayo who have taken care of our mom and who we are confident will make her healthier.
***For our unwavering faith that we are clinging to during this time of uncertainty - for we know that God is in complete control.
