Thank you for visiting.  Laura is the  wife to Glenn, mother to Wil (19), and Ellie (17)  and recently became somewhat of a foster mom to Hamzeh (story for another time) and she is a friend to many.  She is also a speech pathologist by trade, avid cross-fitter and helps keep her cross-fit gym running smoothly.  Unfortunately, she had been experiencing  some concerning symptoms, one thing led to another, ended up having CT scans, MRIs and it was revealed that there was a 2" tumor on her right parietal lobe.  She underwent resection on Wednesday, August 19, 2020.  After 7 hours of surgery thankfully 98% of the tumor was removed.  Recovery was near perfect text book and she was able to head home after 3 nights in the hospital.  She's been walking daily, maintaining her household and recovering well.  She was given the diagnosis that the tumor was a primary brain tumor,  Glioblastoma grade 4.  This is only the middle part of Laura's story.  There's so much more to her story than just this diagnosis.  This is definitely not the ending.  She knows God holds the pen and she is ready and willing to fight the good fight, to be used by her Heavenly Father, and to be able to experience the love of the army that is ready to battle with and for her.
