Laura Angle

Welcome to Laura's CaringBridge website.    In 2011, Laura was diagnosed with an overlap syndrome (Autoimmune hepatitis & sclerosing cholangitis.  Very rare, no cure, life expectancy less than 10 years.  Her only hope is a liver transplant and she has been on the transplant list at Cincinnati Children's for 5 years.  Her wait ended on October 15th, when we received the call.  Liver surgery is major surgery and recovery time was expected to be 2 months but Laura had a remarkable recovery and was back home in before Thanksgiving.  Laura is currently back at school and doing well.  

We are using this site as way to keep family and friends updated on Laura's liver transplant and recovery as opposed to texts and emails.   It is a great way to share photos and stories and Laura will review your comments and Well Wishes posts once she is felling better.
