Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Let us use this site as a way to keep up to date and support Laura without requiring lots of redundant texting on her part.

On November 6, 2016,  Laura Angell went to the ER with severe abdominal pains and   underwent surgery the next day. After a hysterectomy and colon resection, she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon cancer.  Having regained strength from the surgery, Laura was seeking a second opinion and learned that MD Anderson in Houston was one of the top colon centers in the country. Within 24 hours of learning that fact, she had an appointment scheduled for a second opinion.  With the help of her large and loving community, she and her son Carlton left today, December 13, for Houston. There she will undergo a week of testing and evaluations to determine the plan of treatment.

Because positive thoughts and stories help so much in the healing process. we invite you to share any fun adventures (and photos) you've had with Laura. Tiny moments and long trails all fit. Every moment of love shared offers another moment of healing for all of us. God bless you for the part you play in Laura's life.
