Welcome to Larry's CaringBridge.  Larry's journey started in March of 2017 when an annual trip to the doctor indicated potential health issues looming.  On March 24th, after a seemingly routine follow up CT scan to examine his prostate, Larry was sent into the emergency room to undergo surgery for a blocked urethra.   For the few days that followed, Larry underwent a whirlwind of procedures: placement of catheters and Nephrostomy tubes, biopsies, scans, another emergency surgery, all too much for a man who had never been in a hospital bed.  Our world was rocked when the word cancer came up, and even more so when it was determined his cancer was developed and fast growing.   Larry was ultimately diagnosed with stage 4  metastatic prostate cancer.   Doctors told Larry to hope for successful Chemo treatments that could halt the growth of his cancer and potentially give several more years to enjoy his beautiful life.

We wrote the date on this story because Larry is determined to "kick cancer's butt and take names" so that we all can enjoy his company over the many great years to come.  Larry is also determined hit a golf club again! We are extremely thankful for our many prayer warriors standing by Larry's side.   We are blessed with the amount of love and support from family and friends.  We are filled with hope and faith that Larry will significantly surpass all expectations.  There is a long journey ahead but we take comfort knowing that Larry and Suzanne are surrounded by a tremendous community of family and friends whose support does not waiver.
