Backstory:

On August 13, 2010 (Friday the 13th and 3 days before my 40th birthday), Larry endured a 12.5 hour surgery for tongue cancer followed by 6 weeks of radiation and 2 rounds of chemotherapy.  We were interviewed by two local news stations for feature stories that aired in February of 2011, but my favorite is this great story published by UAMS:  http://www.uamshealth.com/?id=11913&sid=1

Fast forward 4.5 years...An abnormal chest X-ray and CT scan indicated much of his left lung was collapsed and there was an abnormal buildup of pleural fluid.
