 Lanes story started at birth as the parents of lane we did not know that there was anything wrong with are baby as far as we knew we were having a healthy baby boy. On September of 2012 lane was born with severe combined immunodeficiency also known as SCID. At the age of one he had a bone marrow transplant at Cincinnati Ohio to help his immune system we had to be away from home for a year living in the hospital and the Ronald McDonald house. The bone morrow did not help his immune system so we are still trying to figure that out so for now he gets IVIG once Every 4 weeks at Sanford to boost his immune system.Lane also was born with Microtia which is a deformity of the ear his ear canals did not form as well so because of this lane wares a hearing aid which he does very well with and does not mind it at all. He was also born with kyphosis of the neck and back and this is a deformity of the spine. In September of 2015 lanes spinal cord in his neck was in a lot of trouble do to his kyphosis bending the incorrect way and was trying to cut his spinal cord in half so he had to under go major neck surgery. He was in a halo for 3 months and a stiff neck brace for 4 months it was a long road but he was such a champ through it all. July 13 lane is undergoing another surgery to fix his kyphosis in his lower back because the curve of the kyphosis is putting way to much pressure on his nerves and he has trouble walking. With all that is said Lane is a very active little boy he loves to help his mom and dad on the ranch feeding and checking cattle and he loves loves playing with his cars and tractors. He gives the best hugs and kisses and seems to know when they are needed. Once you meet lane you will never forget him cause he will make sure of that.
