Lance and Brittany were forced to change their wedding date three times, twice because of covid and then the big Texas snow storm. Two days before they finally got to say 'I Do' Lance was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of cancer.  Stage 4 large B cell bulky Burkitts lymphoma. His oncologist said this type of cancer is typically found in people over the age of 60. Lance just had his 32nd birthday. He has a large tumor in his neck and tumors in his liver, spleen, pancreas, abdominal lymph nodes and lower spine. Praise God his brain is free of tumors. The doctors will continue to be proactive, as he is at risk of the cancer spreading to his brain. Rather than a honeymoon Lance began his cancer journey and Brittany jumped right in the deep end with him, as they would say, 'Stronger Together'.  It has only begun and has been a whirlwind. Lance has spent more time in the hospital than out. Brittany drives well over an hour, one way into Houston to be with him.  As well as care for Shelby, their 5 year old daughter with special needs and work when she can. While Lance has medical insurance he does not have paid sick leave.  This is not only an incredibly stressful and fearful time but financially burdensome.
