Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.
We started this site to help us communicate to everyone how Laith is doing. Please do not donate or go fund me, that’s not why we set this up. It’s strictly for communication on Laith’s health, so Larry, Lenece, Loc and Kayla can only send one message and everyone can see it.
Please share this site with anyone that truly loves Laith. We are grateful to all for the calls, text, visits, hugs and most of all prayers. (Visiting Laith in ICU is very difficult. All visitors have to stay in the family room and not allowed in his room.)

Here is a little journey of Laith’s health;
In July 2017 Laith was diagnosed with congested heart failure with only 40% heart function. He has been in and out of the hospital ever since.
In October 2018 he received a pacemaker/defibrillator (CRT-D) in November 2018 it saved his life, by shocking him once.
In June 2019 shocked again. Then July 11, 2019 he was shocked at the very least 21 times throughout the day. They had to incubate him (which means they put him to sleep and put him on a breathing machine). They also, inserted a balloon heart pump to get his heart back to some kind of normal rhythm, when in surgery for the heart pump they found that he has less than 15% heart function.
Once they woke him up and took him off the ventilator he began to hold his own, with help of the pump.
The ultimate goal is to have heart transplant. He has to be completely stable before they can submit him to the heart transplant team.
Larry, Lenece, Loc and Kayla will be updating you as often as possible.
Thank you for visiting.
