Lacey DiMartino

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

We need your help!!

Hi, my name is Kaela Pospeck McKinley and as many of  you may or may not know I am the proud older sister of Lacey DiMartino.

I am asking you to please donate what you can to this young wife and mother as she struggles for her life.

Lacey has been in extreme paon for months. What we know now is after multiple specialists, ER trips with the latest resulting in being airlifted to the ICU at the St. Cloud Hospital is this.

In the early morning of Tuesday- January 3, 2017 Lacey to the dismay and alarm of her husband, Angelo  was lethargic, weak, and with dangerously low blood pressure was transported via ambulance to the Cuyuna Medical Center. They deemed her bloodwork to indicate possible dyalisis with kidney and renal (liver) failure and air lifted her to St Cloud Hospital.

Lacey has been diagnosed with Rhabdomyolysis: is a serious syndrome due to a direct or indirect muscle injury. It results from the death of muscle fibers and release of their contents into the bloodstream. This can lead to serious complications such as renal (kidney) failure. This means the kidneys cannot remove waste and concentrated urine.

Although she is now out of the ICU by no means is she out of the woods yet as if her liver function does not improve she will need a liver transplant in another facility.

What Lacey, Angelo, and their son Noah need now is your help! With both parents missing work and living out of a hotel for Angelo, basic necessaties, and the mountain of medical debt they have already accumulated for the last 18 months in a search for answers for my baby sisters pain.

I would love to let her know that when she needs funds to pay her bills, to feed her son, and continue her medical journey to a life a lot less normal and not in constant pain, it's there because of you! Knowing that you will not have to scramble and borrow is the blessing we can give her as she has blessed this world and made it a better place by just being her.

This would mean the absolute world to me , my family, and everyone that loves the stubborn, beauitful, talented, quirky women that my sister turned out to be.  My sister is the other half of my soul and has always been amazing even when I was not the best sister to her, so please help me help Lacey!

I am so thankful for whatever you spare to help!
Thank you and god bless.
