On early Sunday morning, December 4th, Kyle was involved in a serious car accident a few miles outside of Baldwin. The accident caused trauma to Kyle's brain and he was rushed to Regions Hospital in St. Paul. He has been under heavy sedation to help stop the bleeding and swelling of his brain. As of Thursday evening, Kyle has shown progress with the decrease of the swelling and there has been small movements in his hands and feet. Some of the sedation medication has been discontinued due to the progress, but there's still a ways to go before we know exactly how doctors will progress with Kyle.

The neurosurgeon, doctors and nurses at Regions have been doing an outstanding job of taking care of Kyle through this unfortunate situation. At this point, no visitors are allowed with the exception of close family members. We know many of you want to see him and know how he's doing, so please continue to check for updates here at Caring Bridge. The Moe, Holst and Veenendall Families appreciate all of your thoughts, prayers and kind words. We ask the prayers continue for Kyle and his family. Kyle will be in the hospital for 4-6 weeks and then rehabilitation could take months. This will be a long process, but we know with the support of family and friends, Kyle has all the love and support he needs.

Kyle is a wonderful young man and has touched the lives of all of us through his kindness and his fun, outgoing personality. Please continue to pray for Kyle and keep him in your thoughts. Your love and support is greatly appreciated!
