Welcome to Kurt's Caring Bridge web site.  We are using this site to help keep friends and family informed of how Kurt is doing, and to collect well-wishes for Kurt as he moves through his ongoing treatment and recovery process. ****  Kurt has a treatable form of lung cancer that was well-treated for the past 2 years, but has recently spread to his bones.  He had a 2 - year reprieve because of an amazing new medication called "Afatinib".  However, in December 2016, his disease progressed and he suffered multiple blood clots to his lungs, a stroke in the language network of his brain, and a mild heart attack. **** He is now proceeding to radiation, speech, occupational and physical therapy... and so his days will be busy! **** Kurt and his family and friends thank you for your love and support.
