Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

In late May 2022, a visit to the doctor for back and hip pain resulted in a diagnosis of Stage 4 Lung cancer for Kevin.  The cancer had already metastasized to  his bones (which was causing the pain) and his liver.  Symptoms quickly progressed to cause lack of feeling in his lower extremities (from a lesion on the spine).  He has had radiation treatment on his spine and hip with a goal of alleviating pain and restoring nerve  function to his lower extremities.  He is currently undergoing chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatment and as of July 29 has had two cycles of the treatment.

For the past two months the focus of his treatment has been on managing pain and stopping the progression  of the cancer.  As of August 5th, Kevin is currently in the hospital and anticipates being discharged on August 6th.

Please note that Caring Bridge  displays a message asking visitors to donate to support Kevin’s site.   Kevin and Kirstin are NOT asking anyone to contribute money to keep the site up and running nor are we being charged to keep the site up.
