Kris has completed routine mammograms for 19 years.  Unfortunately this year she got the results she feared.  After a biopsy was completed in late July 2016, the cancer diagnoses was confirmed.  Given her family history of breast cancer, her mom Yvonne dying from the same disease 19 years ago,  Kris underwent a double mastectomy procedure.  After the surgery they have staged the cancer as Stage 3A.  The treatment is for 6 months of Chemotherapy, followed by a course of radiation for 6 weeks, and then breast reconstruction.  The good news is the goal for the treatment plan is CURE and CANCER FREE!  To get there, the months ahead will be a difficult ones for Kris.  She is thankful and grateful for the love and support of her kids Mackenzie (20) and Zach (16) and throughout this journey and life, she is their #1 fan!   This is Kris's story and throughout the weeks and months ahead, you are encouraged to read this site for updates on her journey, send her encouraging words and prayers, and support her in any way possible.
