On November 20, 2017 Kristy was given results of a routine breast biopsy from the previous week. The results showed that she has aggressive Stage 2 breast cancer. That day she was filled with terms, surgery dates, new doctors, appointments and all while still trying to comprehend the shocking results. Two days later Kristy was scheduled for her MRI, CT scan, body scan and more blood work. On December 1st she will go into surgery to have her port placed and on December 5, 2017 (only 15 days after finding out she has breast cancer) Kristy starts her chemo treatments. She will have chemo for the next 4-5 months and after that she will meet with her surgeon for the next steps in this journey. Kristy has always been a prayer warrior! She has had unsurpassable faith throughout whatever trials are thrown her way. She is the one that taught me to “worry about nothing but pray about everything!” She prays over her girls and husband daily. Her daily devotions with the Lord and walk of faith are what make her an amazing woman, mother, sister, daughter and friend. Throughout this rough road ahead, I ask that you commit to pray for her and Allen and their girls, Kamryn and Karleigh. Pray for her healing. Pray for strength for them all. Pray for understanding and peace. Pray for encouragement. Pray for their doctors and nurses. Pray for their families. Pray continuously.
