****We put this on the front page because we have had several people ask us about financial contributions or tributes made through CaringBridge.  Any contributions made to CaringBridge go to the website directly, and do not go to Kristi. If you would like to make contribution directly to Kristi,  you may do so at https://www.gofundme.com/kristinordstrom.  (https://www.gofundme.com/kristinordstrom. )

In July, Kristi went to her doctor for abdominal swelling and discomfort. She was diagnosed with a hernia. A visit to the ER a month later revealed a ruptured ovarian cyst and no evidence of a hernia.

Then on October 6, 2017 Kristi Nordstrom had surgery to remove the cyst. During the surgery, cancer was discovered in her abdominal cavity. It was subsequently learned that this is a recurrence of the cervical cancer she was treated for in 2011, even though she had been continually deemed cancer free since that time.

Kristi has a wonderful family, friends, and a vast network of people who love and support her. However, it is very difficult for her to have visitors at this time or keep up with everyone on an individual basis. We started this site to keep everyone updated in one place.

Kristi begins an aggressive chemotherapy regimen in late October. We know she will appreciate hearing words of hope and encouragement from each one of you.
We hope to use this site to keep everyone updated with Kristi’s treatment and recovery. We appreciate everyone’s prayers and support.
