December of 2015 I received the news I had triple negative breast cancer at the age of 30. I went through the process of harvesting and freezing my eggs, undergoing four months of chemo, I had multiple surgeries, and then completed my final of 33 rounds of radiation in August 2016. In December 2016 I had clear scans, my hair was finally growing back and I was feeling normal again. Around Christmas time I started noticing some lower back pain. It progressively got worse to the point where nothing would help. On January 17th I went into the doctor because I also noticed some swollen glands in my neck. My doctor ordered some scans just as a precaution and I was shocked when she shared then news that my cancer was back and had spread.

This past week has been a whirlwind of testing and hard news. My PET Scan showed the cancer has metastasized and is in my upper abdomen, hip, bone, back, breast, neck and under my arm pit. The doctors are shocked that it came back so fast and spread so aggressively. My brain MRI also shows it's moved up into my brain.

I am now living with terminal stage IV metastatic breast cancer. Saying that out loud still feels like a punch to the stomach. There is no cure for this kind of cancer...YET! I am determined to fight as long as it takes for someone to find a cure. I refuse to give up...I have too much to live for.
