Thanks to everyone for checking on me!!  I am hoping through CaringBridge to be able to update all of you on my journey with breast cancer.  I was diagnosed on June 6th with DCIS;  I have two masses in my left breast, one is DCIS and the other is IDC.  I have chosen to undergo a double mastectomy on June 21st.    I am blessed to have a strong support system with wonderful friends and family to take care of me and my family. I am blessed to have an AMAZING husband to walk beside me on this path and kids who I know will be my sunshine and cheerleaders along the way.    There will be lots of steps; port surgery, chemotherapy, reconstruction and hopefully not too many other hiccups along the way.   We appreciate all the love and prayers sent our way.
