Thank you for stopping by and reading my story. This is were my friends and family can read about my journey through Breast Cancer. I never thought I would have to face Breast Cancer, but life is what it is. Here I will share all the good, the bad and the ugly that I have and will have to face on my journey. I plan on being brutally honest with my feelings and emotions so if you don't like it, please do not read it. I know with the love and support of my family (I say family because my friends are my family) the journey will be easier. Please feel free to sign the guestbook - ask questions if you want.
On Thursday, October 27, 2011 I was lying in my bed watching TV and playing on my laptop, my hand resting across my chest. I rubbed an itchy spot on my chest and noticed an odd lump. When my husband came home I had him feel the lump to see if it really was there and that is how our journey began. We went to see my doctor the following Monday then had a mamogram and ultrasound that Wednesday. The testing led us to have a biopsy the following Wednesday, on Thursday, November 10th, we found out I had Breast Cancer. Six days later on Wednesday, November 16th my husband lost his job to company "restructuring" - although we can't prove it we know it was because of my diagnosis.
Our life now consists of loving and supporting our children, doctors appointments, surgery and treatment and job hunting.
