Barb began her health battle with an autoimmune disorder near the end of 1996. On January 13, 1997 she received a liver and kidney transplant at the UW Madison hospital. She has battled countless health conditions and surgeries over the past two decades. She is on the last leg of her journey as her kidney is no longer functioning.
