Kim was diagnosed with Stage 1 Breast Cancer (Invasive Ductal Carcinoma) in April 2017. It's an ER + /Her-2 Negative tumor that is less than 2cm. Her care team is hopeful that it has not yet spread, her prognosis is great- and all of us are thankful it was caught early.
The first step in healing will be her surgery on May 18. After further testing is done the remaining part of her care plan will be determined.
