Hi everyone, This is Amy Nigbor. I'm Kitt's power of attorney for health for now as Kitt recovers. Yesterday, March 28, Kitt was in a bicycle accident and fractured his C2 vertebrae. He took a helicopter ride from the Hayward Hospital to St. Mary's Trauma Center in Duluth. He had a 4 hour surgery last night where the surgeon put 4 screws into his vertebrae to repair the break. The good news is that the his spinal tendon is uninjured and that's what holds the C1 and C2 vertebrae together. Kitt is in the neuro ICU and intubated for the next few days to help him breathe so he cannot talk. . . We all know how he loves to talk so it's good he's getting the rest he needs. At this point Kitt can't move his arms and legs yet, but he wiggled his right foot toes a tiny bit for the doctor this morning. None of his injuries effect his cognition, he's able to understand what's happening and why. Right now he's mostly scared. We're asking that Kitt's friends not visit him while he is ICU. There are a few people who are spending days with him during this initial critical time. Aaron Campbell and I will keep you all posted. Thank you for your positive thoughts and prayers. Amy
