Kim was diagnosed with Colon Cancer in May 2013. On July 10th, 2013 she had surgery to remove part of her colon. After surgery, the surgeon informed us that he had taken 18 Lymph Nodes out during the surgery, and 6 of the 18 had cancer as well. After surgery, Kim was scheduled to have CT scan every 6 months. In the Fall of 2014, the CT scan revealed some spots growing around the left lung. However, there wasn't conclusive evidence that the spots were cancerous at that time. In the fall of 2015, it was revealed the spots on her lung were cancerous. We were recommended to start chemotherapy ASAP. Kim started treatment in November of 2015, and finished her first 12 treatments on May 2nd, 2016.
