On July 23rd 2016, my sissy Kimmie,  went to the Hospital having chest pains that felt like a heart attack. Dr Clare Sercombe did a EKG,  chest x-ray and then CT scan that showed no signs of a heart attack but what it did show is multiple nodules all over her lungs. Dr Colbert came in and ran more tests those came back positive for cocci (valley fever) fungas in the Arizona dirt. Which made sense since she was just in Arizona 2 months prior. Further testing showed cocci being negative. A bronchoscopy was done on Sept 19th, 6 biopsies were performed by a Pathologist all came back benign. On Oct 3rd she saw Dr Solfelt a lung  surgeon that set up a surgical biopsy of her right lung. Procedure was scheduled for Oct 24th the day her life changed. Dr Solfelt came back to tell her that it was Stage 4 Colon Cancer that metastasised to her lungs. Oct 28th she went to meet her Oncologist Dr Levine who told her she needed to have a Mri and a colonoscopy the Mri came back no mets in her brain, liver, and bones. Her colonoscopy could not be performed do to it being blocked. Kimmie is a single mom raising a 17 year old son and a 9 year old Autistic son. Here her journey starts! Gods Got Her!!! Lots of Prayers and Positivity are needed for her and our family!
