When I ponder the many experiences Kim and I have shared together, the one experience we never wanted to share is cancer. Just the word alone sounds like despair.  A shared trip to the state’s best mile-high lemon meringue pie…sure.  A shared trip to the chemo chair…not so much.

But God. What is cancer to the creator of the universe? And what is life if it is not to wonder and praise even for the breath we just took?

From Zechariah 4:6, Then he said to me, “This is what the Lord says to Kim and her family and friends: It is not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. Nothing, not even a mighty mountain like cancer, will stand in Kim’s way; it will become a level plain before her! And when Kim experiences the grace and peace and joy that come in the midst of cancer, her family and friends will surely say, ‘May God bless her! May God bless us!”

Please pray for Kim as she battles stage 1 invasive ductal carcinoma, triple negative. The triple negative version brings with it the 'gift' of chemotherapy; the primary cancer was removed via a double mastectomy. Your prayers and concern, not just for Kim but for her children as well, are overwhelmingly medicinal. Thank you!
