Praise GOD!

Welcome to our CaringBridge site. It has been created to keep friends and family updated about Kim's physical condition and my mental condition. Just visiting lets us know you care. Be sure to view the photo gallery, read the latest in the journal, and drop us a line in the guestbook.

Kim got sick at my 50th birthday party in April of 2003 with what we thought was a just a bug. After going to the doctor we found out she had Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML). She fought valiantly through 4 rounds of CHEMO and was placed in remission. We thought it was over. In March of 2005 she had an abnormal blood test and we later found out it was back. Now after the second remission of another 17 months, we learned today (04/06/2007)almost 4 years to the day from the original diagnosis, that it is back again. We have had almost two more years of beautiful life free of this terrible disease and I am sure she will beat it again. We learned to live one day at a time with GOD and that and our friends are all that has carried us through it. GOD BLESS ALL OF OUR FRIENDS!!

On Dec 5th of 2007 Kim had a bone marrow transplant!  It was a nightmare of an experience but she made it through!  Kim was released from the hospital on CHRISTmas morning of 2007.  We were in Houston Tx for 4 months!  She has recovered and is now living life with few side effects.  We Pray for continued health and to grow closer to GOD!

I love this crazy tragic, sometimes almost magic, awful beautiful life.
